In 2005, LIFE Outreach made a promise to the homeless, abandoned children of Bolivia, the poorest nation in South America.
With poor health conditions, serious diseases, unsafe drinking water, malnutrition, and inadequate housing, many of Bolivia's children face a bleak future. Many of the orphans and abandoned children or "throwaways" have absolutely no future. In the dark streets of Cochabamba, Bolivia, hundreds of children hide in cardboard boxes, covering themselves with strips of plastic tarp, old blankets, or anything else they can find to stay warm.
With the establishment of the Bolivia LIFE Center, numerous children now have a home.
LIFE's mission partner John Hernandez, who has devoted his life to helping these precious Bolivian children, says, "To look these children in the eyes and say, 'We've got a place for you to live' and then actually watch their faces light up when they walk into the LIFE Center...it's a promise fulfilled."
This lifetime project continues to minister, not just to the children, but also to millions of spiritually impoverished people of Bolivia.
