Water Changes Everything
"He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." (Proverbs 11:25)
With your help, LIFE is preparing to drill 400 new water wells in 20 nations, plus refurbish and restore 200 wells, including many damaged by the earthquake in Haiti. This life-giving outreach is one of the most practical and exciting demonstrations of God’s love among the poor because clean water changes everything in life.
Mission: Water for LIFE not only delivers fresh, clean water with every well, but the wells become an ongoing witness of the love of God in the community.
In the past 10 years, a staggering amount of clean water has been produced through the drilling of fresh water wells. With more than 2500 wells now in use, each serving an average of 1000 people, the estimated number of changed lives reaches 2.5 million.
The average cost of each well is $4,800. Each well provides water for an average of 1,000 people or more. This means that a child can receive a lifetime of clean water for as little as $4.80.
