Many humanitarian relief operations display one glaring flaw. They provide temporary help and alleviate some of the immediate suffering, but then pull out, leaving afflicted people with the same problems that created their crisis situation.
LIFE Centers are "centers of LIFE" to meet economic, social and spiritual needs and create a lasting legacy of hope and life. These LIFE Centers can be a medical clinic, an orphanage, a training center, a food factory, a church, a school or a retreat center. Whatever their function, the centers bring life and hope to hurting people all over the world.
The LIFE Center's message and purpose can be viewed from three perspectives:
As a physical structure. LIFE builds the "brick and mortar" facility necessary to house an operation capable of addressing the needs of the problem areas. This facet of the LIFE Center is a labor of love made possible by the prayers and financial support of compassionate people.
As a literal "center of life" for an entire, city, community or region. The LIFE Center becomes the hub of LIFE's outreaches in the surrounding area, with various types of ministry radiating from the physical structure. As the LIFE Center helps to meet the needs of the people, it becomes the center of life-economically, socially and spiritually.
As a beacon drawing people to Jesus Christ. While Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world," LIFE has made the Savior the center of all our activities. By sharing the Good News not just in word but also in deed, LIFE Centers help needy people establish the spiritual foundations for lives and communities-foundations which cannot be shaken.
