Hunger continues to be a problem across the sub-Saharan regions of Africa. As Christians, our call to be the “salt and light” in the earth is realized in situations of need and desperation like this. This is where faith meets life head-on. God’s word encourages believers to care for the poor and destitute. It is not an invitation; it’s a call. It reveals the seriousness of His heart for the poor, the destitute and the starved.
