Past Outreaches

A Child At PlayMany of LIFE's outreaches are seasonal or crisis-oriented. These short-term projects provide opportunities for LIFE's partners to minister in times of great need. Many times, LIFE Outreach International works in conjunction with other ministries and relief organizations to maximize our efforts.

Some past outreaches include:

Project Hope: A special outreach of Homes for LIFE combining food, water and shelter in desperately poor countries, such as Liberia and Nicaragua. LIFE has built entire villages for hundreds of families to call home.

Hurricane Andrew: When the 1992 storm wiped out regions of south Florida, LIFE aided in the physical reconstruction and spiritual recovery for numerous victims.

New York City and Washington DC: After the terrorist attacks of 9/11, LIFE supported counseling and ministry for individuals and families affected by the death and destruction.

Afghanistan: After the fall of the Taliban, LIFE helped establish several schools for children, many of them for girls who had once been forbidden to receive an education under the oppression of radical Muslims.

South Pacific Tsunami: After the shocking devestation of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami at the end of 2004, LIFE worked through its missionary partners from Africa to India to southeast Asia to provide emergency relief, spiritual support, and long-term rebuilding.

James Robison visiting the South East after Hurricane KatrinaHurricanes Katrina and Rita: LIFE provided food, water and other emergency supplies to hundreds of people in the Gulf Coast region after two of the most destructive storms in U.S. history.
