Dempsey Family Mission Project - Teaching Our Children Compassion for Others

This morning as I cooked sausage and eggs, I had the TV on Life Today as Betty and James Robison ran a piece on Water For Life. They were requesting help with digging water wells in Africa.


As my children sat drinking fresh water, we watched children in Africa drink water from a stream of mud, which also smelled like cow manure. A young boy drank a bottle of water that was the color and consistency of a Yoohoo! (chocolate drink for those of you not familar with Yoohoo) I began to get a huge lump in my throat and a heaviness in my heart. Then as we discussed how blessed we were, the tears began to form in my eyes. I felt God say do something. We decided, as a family, to raise the $4,800 to provide a well for a village in Africa.


Please keep us in your prayers as we follow God's will to serve Him.

We feel the Lord has called us to be a part of this well-drilling project and according to His Word, "He said, The things which are impossible with men, are possible with God." (Luke 18:27) We know He will supply the funds to help us reach our goal.


We are excited to know that the villagers will also be told about the living water that Jesus gives...eternal life with Him.
