Well in Memory of Katie

In Katie's freshmen year of college, Jesus chose to bring her home on February 7, 2004. Katie is a beloved daughter, sister, and friend that touched more lives in her short 19 years than most touch if they lived to be 100. Katie grew up attending FUMC where she went on many youth group and mission trips. She left behind a Bible that was underlined, highlighted and written in. One of the verses that was highlighted was Ephesians 3:18-19--And I pray that you and all God's holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ's love-how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. Christ's love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God.

Katie was an amazing young lady whose passion for Jesus over flowed in all areas of her life; she chose to walk this life boldly for the Lord. Katie's heart shone through her precious smile and loving hands as she served others; giving all the glory to her Lord and Savior. Please help us continue Katie's legacy of helping and serving others by joining us in digging two wells that will give life to children by having clean water to drink. In Loving Memory of Katie.

Our Fundraiser

A women's Bible Study that meets at First United Methodist Church in Franklin , Tennessee invite you to join us in digging a well in loving memory of Katie Elizabeth Jeter. We appreciate Katie's Mom, Mamie, who has been an example to our class of God's love and mercy. She shows up each week and continues to walk through this pain in an honest example of daily leaning on God.

Each year 3.4 million people, mostly children, die from water-related diseases; that is one person every eight seconds.

In Africa alone, 85 percent of all illness in children under 5 are caused by waterborne diseases. No matter the country or continent, water is the most precious gift.

That’s why Mission:Water for LIFE is drilling wells in the most desolate areas of the world.
